Tool bag ideas

Recommended Posts

I'm a fan of Giant Loop: the Coyote for long trips and the Mojavi for day trips.

On long trips, I keep my spares in one lobe (in my case with the XL and living in Africa, I carry a stator, coil, CDI, plug etc) and my tools (including a big hammer) in a beat-up hip-bag from Motion Pro. I can mount the GL, get the camping stuff attached atop it, and then squeeze the whole show together with the Motion Pro hip bag. All nice and tight and the tool bag opens up onto the seat for easy access (not so easy to get the spares, but normally I won't need the stator!)

The day-trip setup is even more tidy sometimes I strap the hip-bag onto the flat part behind the seat, but ordinarily I just put the most important tools in the built-in pouch there.
