Switching from 250f to 125

Recommended Posts

I have never ridden a 125 (on the track at least).  How do these bikes feel different. Have any of y'all had to do this change? I'm a pretty decent rider if I do say so myself but I am worried I won't have confidence or ability on the 125 like i feel on my 250f. I recently decided to put my 250f on craigslist to get a 125 so I can work on it well and because it's cheaper, I can get a project bike too!

125s are FUN! Coming off a 250f you will have to work alot harder and learn how to ride it. Although once you learn to keep her pinned you won't be able to wipe the smile off your face.

What bike are you looking at?

Lean forward with chest to the bar, turn front wheel, pin throttle, dump clutch. G-out in a wheelie.

Yeah it is more work, turns with the rear wheel, arm pump. Love the darn thing. I love it!

You want to be smooth and fast, stay away. You want to hang on for dear life, fan the clutch, flick it in the air, buy the YZ125
