PRESS RELEASE

Auburn Car Repair & Offroad Shows Strong Support for OHV Advocacy.

SEATTLE, WA - January 12, 2016 - Auburn Car Repair & Offroad (ACRO) has donated $1,000.00 to the Washington Off Highway Vehicle Alliance (WOHVA) in support of OHV advocacy. John Mathews, ACRO owner said "I felt it was time to give back and I really like what WOHVA is doing in support of OHV users across Washington State." He went on to say, "We're a family owned auto repair & 4x4 shop in Auburn, Washington. We're also passionate about offroad recreation and have made support of OHV advocacy a part of our business model. I know this is the right thing to do and I challenge my fellow businesspeople to join me in putting their money to work. In 2016, ACRO will donate a portion of our sales to support motorized recreation."

"We're absolutely honored to have the support of John and his crew," said Byron Stuck, WOHVA's President. "This donation will be used to support our legislative lobbyist on the ground in Olympia. Having a full time presence during the legislative session is key to our success!"

Please support those that support us!

How does WOHVA get all their $ anyways.  I think through some sanctioned races throughout the year?   I am a member and  Really appreciate what they do and especially what has gone on with the NC

Thanks guys and maybe there is a way folks can contribute in other ways. Or just cold hard cash with the Donate button on their website.

Most WOHVA money comes from donations.

WOHVA does not sanction any racing.

More donations are always welcome 👍

Yes, thanks for responding Tod, and for posting this great donation we just received, Bryan.

WOHVA's financials are published each year for all our membership at our annual meeting and we're happy to share with whomever.  We are a VERY low budget operation with no staff and only a part time contribution to a lobbyist (vital to our mission).  Our funds primarily come in through donations and memberships.  We're planning in the future to go after grant funding, a benefit ride, sponsorship and other sources so that we can better carry out our mission.  It's a challenge to compete using an all-volunteer structure when the bureaucracies and other organizations we go up against have multiple staff members working full time.

But enough of that ... thanks so much ACRO for your support, and to our membership and other donors as well.  We appreciate it!
