Flattracking with XR200s

Recommended Posts

The XR200s are coming out of the woodwork in Minnesota. We have a "Maddog" class which allows up to 200cc four strokes, so, naturally, everyone's heading to the track with what they can find. The final event of the 2015 season had 12 racers in this division - of which all but three were XR200s (if my memory is correct).

simple hot-rod version. 12-1 piston, ported head, nice cam, and a real pipe. Heck even stock carb works well at this cc.

Is 200cc the limit OR must bike start as 200 or under?????

200cc is the limit.

The cool thing is that since all the bikes are pretty equal, we all stay in pretty close proximity. Nice pack racing. 🙂

I would go with a 63mm XR185 piston and a 64mm stroker for 199cc.

Their website (www.powroll.com) almost makes it look like they're out of business (no updates for product information). Do they still do current work?

Poweroll developed that size engine as a "class racer" using a 6mm stroker crank (63.8mm).  They also have cams.

Terry aka teamrude was working with Powroll to get them running again last I heard.

Terry built my stroker crank and it was done very well, running with no issues.
