Tusk Dual Sport kit. Anyone have one?

Recommended Posts

I don't have the whole kit, but did put both turn signals on my Husky. The back turn signals are pretty low profile and should last longer than the stock ones. I just bought the front signals themselves instead of the shield/signal combo. I just dremeled in some slots to fit the signals and am pretty happy with the fitment.

You should ask in the 450 forum, more of those get put on the road.

I'll be ordering the Tusk system this week, I want bare minimum both expense and performance. I'm converting an '06 for basically one season. I wont be recapturing that coin, wont be riding much night time but if I decide to do so I'd rather spend the money on upgrading the headlight anyway. Good Luck with your own.

I have some Tusk switches and some Baja Design switches on my bike. The quality seems ok on both. I put my dual-sport kit together myself so I could have it just the way I wanted it. I can tell you that the mirror in the tusk kit is worthless for actual use. It likely meets the legal requirements, but you can't see out of it as it shakes like crazy.

I recommended this kit to a buddy for his 2003 WR250f several years ago. He added the LED option and its been working great ever since. Baja Design is quality stuff so is the price. Unless you have a bike that a specific kit is designed for why spend the extra money on a universal one!

How much $$ are you willing spend?? What is the end use, desert, road, trail,,,,,,?

We have used this headlight which is cheap and is as bright as a stock one. Also a brighter LED options are available.

Then there's a Baja Design which again like the DS kit is expensive but very good quality.

Or build your own, pay attention to the power supply options on light to bike.
