Cb100 part 3 ignition prob due to high octane?

So now I have the whole bike together with the painted frame and what. It has spark and fuel , points are gaped to spec and spark is great. But it still won't start. So we took the engine out and reseated the valves for low comp. But still nothing. Just shoots flames out the head pipe. But then we realised we were using 110 octane whoops lol. So will this high octane delay ignition of the fuel that bad on a 70's small bore bike??
