How much would you pay for this Crf100?

Recommended Posts

The guy has it up on CL for $600, I plan on getting the bike putting a new seat cover on and buying chain tensioners then reselling on CL. Let me know what you guys think about it!

Its a Honda.  It doesn't appear to have a seat cover.  That's about all I can tell from that crappy picture.

I paid $600 for near new looking 100's.  That's a pile. Don't waste time.

No exhaust cap and out in the rain. Run and don't look back. Clean 100's go from $700-1100. Not worth the effort.

It isn't the cleanest machine, but those gold BBR parts don't come around everyday.

I wouldn't even consider $600. I get kx125s cheaper, this one for $250. Of course, it wasn't running (spark junk) but I sold it in the same condition for $650 a week later. The most I would pay for that is 300, just because it fires up. You know it's gonna need some work considering he probably didn't take care of it. And don't you just love the people who say it only needs a $5 part to run perfectly and it would be worth 2x as much? Then why don't they fix it up!?! Or, it runs, but it needs a carb cleaning. Sadly, some people fall for these traps.

TONS of these on Craig'sList for $900 & up all the time.... they don't sell.

I would not buy it. Maybe for $3-400. It appears to be stored outside, judging by the rust on exhaust and rain in pic (why would you move it outside to take a pic of it's raining? -because it's already out there and you only care enough to post one bad picture). I bet it "could use an oil change" or sprockets or something. Look for an ad that's well photographed and honest. My $0.02.

Used to own an xr100, now have xr250 and kdx220.

Although all that being said, the 100 can certainly service a hard life in the backyard and teenage abusive riding, as long as the oil gets changed... That's about how mine was minus outdoor storage.

250-300 as a parts bike. Probably has a broken center case where the chain pulverized it. Everything else chain related is roached off of it. BBR and wide pegs may be still good.
