100/90 tire on a 2.15 rim?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2.15 rim and a 100/90 tire. Is it a bad idea to run this setup? do I need to go a size bigger on the tire?

It will work, it will just flatten the tire out on top a little. If you dont have a 125 id go to. 110/90/19 thought.

I have a YZ125, my spare wheel is a 2.15" with a 100/90-19 (Pirelli MS32)

compared and measured side-by-side with my stock 1.85" wheel/tire, the width / tire profile difference is minimal.

I think upping the size to a 110/90 would make more of a negative impact on handling than running a slightly wider (0.30" or 7.6mm) wheel.

Stick with the 100 then and you will be fine. You most likely wont notice a difference.
