I was reaffirming his choice against the gnarly just cuz. I like the gnarly on any two stroke. Somehow that lyric was in my head too.

Reason I asked is I am looking at this decision right now.  My take is the stock pipe is a broad range pipe in comparison to the knarly and fatty.  Been told the knarly brings the power down low and the fatty takes it up high.  Thanks for clarifying.

Fatty is more mid top rather than just all top.

it will still have some top end power but it will sign off sooner

Go fatty or a Pro Circuit Platinum (not Platinum 2). The PC pipes make crazy top end power IMO.
