YZ250FX 2015/2016 Differences

G'day,

 

Is there any definitive list of differences between the 2015 and 2016 models? Im trying to decide between buying a runout 2015 WR or YZFX or spend the extra for 2016

Might be worth checking the part numbers of the two bikes to see if the 16 comes with the new piston / oil sprayer that's been updated on the 16 YZs.

2015-2016 YZ250FX everything is the same but graphics. From my knowledge...

No big rotor. Bike is pretty much the same.

Yeah I grabbed that from an AUS magazine so perhaps it was a mistake

Yep, connecting rod is different for sure. Didn't dig deep enough to find out what difference is.

 

2015 rod = 2GB-11651-00-00

2016 rod = 2GB-11651-01-00

 

Piston is the same as 2015.

 

Might be worth it for that alone! Yammy had rod issues with original gen 250f ('01-'02) and it was beefed up.

Maybe this is what is happening here too....
