There is none and nothing listed on the USA models. http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/a/yam/5654827887a8660e30ac0229/exhaust

 

Yeah it isn't listed on the UK model either but comes with and is to be fitted if the bike is road registered!

Nope, that's a rubber mounting.

The cat is ment to sit in the clamp end of the front pipe (no 1 in the diagram).

If this is an item to only be installed on a road legal bike in your country, I doubt they are in any US model, as they don't come road legal from the manufacturer. 

 

I'll have to check mine sometime this week to satisfy the curiosity.

Just wondered as the UK bikes have the same other restrictions as the US bikes (throttle screw, exhaust pea shooter and airbox restrictor - though the ECU is unlocked) so thought you guys might have cats too.

Nothing in the Australian models and they come ADR road ready from the dealer, might be just the euros?

Yeah it looks like its probably just for the euro bikes. :thumbsup:

 

It could also be because the euro bikes come with what you guys call the 'competition ecu' as standard, so try and reduce emissions in the exhaust rather than use the strangled ecu.

Yep, same black wheels as the euro bikes too!

I imagine emissions concerns are greater in Europe than over there, hence the cats!

Yeah think so to mate, euros are mad on emissions!

They are a very sweet bike off the floor that's for sure almost finished with the tank upgrade now and it will be about perfect I reckon!

I wish the north american bikes had gotten black rims.

Agreed! Like the look of the black much better but I'll happily endure the non black rims cause I love this bike so much.

I think everyone would have preferred black rims, its strange that Yamaha didn't just fit them across the board!?

A tank upgrade is a good idea! I'm considering the IMS 2.5 when they make it not dry break!

Ok, I admit I'm old and have searched for an hour how to remove the pea shooter from my 2016 WR.  Can someone give me a link or pictorial how to remove it?

Steve, the alen screws at the tip of your exhaust come out and the tip pulls off. Then there are 4 more screws holding the pea shooter on. Buy the 50$ GYTR muffler insert for it. Gyt-5tj93-75-01. Can't go wrong.

K, guys been reading up on tubliss tire setups and decided I want to get a set and new tires to go with it. Looking at the Motoz hybrid for rear and goldentyre fatty on front. Anyone gone tubliss yet on their 16 and have any advice on this setup?

Tubliss is great.

 

I can run front 10 and rear 6 and never get a pinch flat even in boulder fields.

Much more tire 'feedback' too, making riding easier.

 

You must have an air compressor at your garage capable of going to 100psi, so you can regularly check the 'inner' tube's pressure.

 

If not, don't bother.

I've been running my stock tires at 10 and 10 because of all my wipe outs and near wipe outs from my tires bouncing me all over the place. Where I've been riding is dirt and random choppy rocks everywhere. I figure the tubliss should help greatly there. So far avoided a flat, knock on wood.
