Have to shift twice from first to second on an 05 kx250f

Will this cause any damage? I haven't bought it yet, but if the shift fork is bent, can i just keep riding it or will i damage anything more?

Replace it or don't buy it, if you ride it like that your shifter fork is gonna break( no telling how long it will take) and it will take the rest of your bottom end with it most likely.

Shift forks typically get bent when a gear jumps out of position from the other gear.

This can happen because a rider lets the clutch out before the shift is complete, a poor ergo setup on the shift lever, a dragging clutch, improperly adjusted clutch...etc

The real problem is not a bent shift fork, it's the gear dog's getting rounded off.
