Started riding in '98 with a '93 KX125. PSI Pipe, Boysen Reeds, Renthal bars and running on Opti 2 at 100:1. Raced CMRC for 2 years, then a 19 year hiatus and now a 2006 KX250. Good to be back!

My son is on a 2003 XR50 at 4 years old.....spoiled kid ;)  (I'm more excited than he is I think!)

Actually, I broke my back surfing (well, actually, “falling”),

i was doing a frontside floater on a performance longboard on about a 6-8’ face. The lip crumbled under the board, it rolled out from under my feet and fell to the flat bottom with me following.

I landed on the board with my lower back, hyperextending and twisting. Ended up with L3 and L4 body fx, and L3 bilateral ramus fractures. 4 level bilateral laminectomy, to fix (in as much as one can be).

Never thought one got hurt surfing. It was either drown, get eaten, or otherwise okay.

well, since I was injured I went back to school and got my RN. In the 15 years since I have had a few spinal injury patients who were injured surfing.

whodathunk ???

I've done a little surfing, don't like it much tbh, but a lot of mates surf. One of my mates older brothers got hit in the head by another board once, had to get air lifted, Never surfed again, and was never the same.

You made profit on a 2nd hand bike, not many can claim that, and 23K. WINNING!

My first bike was a 1973 Honda CB500 which my mom actually let me take to high school. I then raced mountain bikes in college and never touched a dirt bike until my recent move in 2016- always dreamed about riding one though. As a kid on long drives I remember looking out the window while my parents drove and I pretended to ride a dirt bike along side of the road, jumping all the obstacles. I remember wanting a bike so badly.

When I moved in 2016, my neighbor and his boys all rode so naturally my boys wanted to as well. I traded my oldest son's go kart for a Suzuki DS80 which I rebuilt from the frame up. It was so much fun everyone in the family wanted to start riding, including the wife. I then got a DRZ400e, two TTR125's, one TTR225, a YZ85, a CRF450R and finally a CRF50 for my youngest.

Not sure what's next - the 450 is so much fun. Maybe a fuel injected upgrade.

1975 Yamaha GT 80. Ran when it wanted to. Moved up to a 1986 KX 125 in the late 80's and never had any trouble with it and ran it hard. Just recently picked up a 1998 KLX 300 and a 2003 KFX 400 quad after a 20+ year lay off.
