Yet another battery upgrade thread

Since my battery was half dead I have decided I will upgrade the battery to a stronger + larger capacity unit

 

Please bear in mind that this is more suited for adventure type riding, rather than hardcore enduro where you want to save weight, rather than adding more.

 

I know about the battery mod as per Eddie, it is nice too, but the cost of the battery is nearly double.

Please note weight difference is 1.4kg + some weight for box mod.

 

The battery box only needs to be extended downwards in order to house a new battery, please see photos of how I made this:

You will probably get without rebuilding the plastic, but I did since I had time, otherwise basic tools, 4mm drill, rivets, angle brackets.

 

I will post pics of how the battery sits in place soon.
