Ktm 200 fuel blowing back out of carb

Hi guys ,

Start up wifes freshly rebuilt 200

And with air filter off and running I noticed when I rev engine up a bit fuel comes out of mouth if carb and it bogs when revs in neutral and blows a lot of smoke ( just replaced crank seal because it was sucking oil

Any ideas, could it be reeds?

I would certainly check the reeds first. Is the float height set right? Pipe fitted properly with no leaks? Ignition timing set properly? Rings fit right? Could be many things.

Think I found the problem , will round up some new reed petals and reinstall

I am surprised it started at all
