450 Tank removal-Really have to remove light assembly?

I could figure this out if I just dug into it, but don't want to get in over my head. The service manual shows that the headlight assembly has to come off to take the tank off? Is this really the case? Thanks for any info.

No, you do not have to take the light assm. off. Remove both shrouds (but you can get away with just removing the bottom shroud bolt that attatches to the rads). there are 2 long bolts under the tank towards the front, remove seat, unhook rubber strap from tank and disconnect fuel line and remove tank . Great thanks. I guess I was reading the manual a little wrong. The title says "Seat, fuel and side covers" I guess i assumed they allhad to come off to get the fuel tank off. Thanks again.
