Where do I get this tool

Recommended Posts

Does any one know what tool I need for this. 2016 kx450f. Air side of forks on the bottom. It looks like a hex maybe 21mm.

Ya. That's a cool tool, and it should work fine. On the top you will have to measure, and cut out a slot to fit the base valve cap. The rt tool works on top, but the bottom is always on too tight for the aluminum hex. I use a metal 22mm hex, hit it a few times with hammer, and unscrews with no damage.

bought the tool from race tech myself. I agree usually from the factory everything is super tight, but i had no issues with the aluminum giving me trouble when disassembling my 2016 that had 10 hours on it. Also, you'll need a 49mm fork seal driver, they're larger a kit size than other forks.

I just bought a piece of 2" pvc and cut it in half to use as a driver, ghetto, but was in a pinch and nobody had one in stock.
