Thermo fans

No prob! That's the smallest highest cfm I could find. It throws a lot of air. Just make sure you buy a puller not a pusher because you can't flip it around in that small space.

Cheers MXRIDERRMZ it's been a few months and the bikes going like a dream. Myself and a friend hit some tight singles on a warmish day and my friends WR450 2015 played up like mine used to stalling and boiling and there I was at the end of the trails waiting with a smile.

i did the trail tech universal kit . you will have to grind down the thickness of thier temp probe so it fits between the radiator core rows . easy installl , easy wiring , works as it should . have not had it out riding yet . installed it , and we got snow and ice on the ground now . only driveway tested . fan has to go on the left side radiator , and i cut a hole in the left side shroud to mount the temp /fan  controll unit . if you just glance at the bike you cant even see it . i put it in the black section off the shroud . used a drill to make the corners of the hole , and a razor knife to cut it out . took 5 min .

Woods-rider you have a link to what temp prove you went with?

Thanks

Under $110 for everything.

Here's everything I bought to add the fan (minus the misc wire and fittings that I already had).

I drew power from the headlight circuit so that the fan can only be on when the ignition is on. I also cut the probe length down to about a half inch over the thickness of my radiator and rounded the end since they are made long enough for thicker car radiators. Fan comes on when rads are above 200F and turns off when they get below 180F. Has been working flawlessly since I installed in January and have not boiled over since.

Using ideas here I purchased a spal fan and installed it on my ktm 300 headlight ac circuit (no battery on bike, 2005 model). Used a regulator and rectifier and then made a switch for either headlight on or fan on. Tried it last weekend and as soon as I saw steam I actuated the fan and steam went away in less than 60 seconds. Very very cool!

Awsome! Thanks! You mount on the left or right radiator? The trail techs are nice but a little pricey in my opinion for what the do lol.

I put it on the right side for a few reasons:

1. there's more room be hind the right side radiator on my bike for the fan

2. that is the hotter radiator on my (and most) bike so you will get more efficient cooling on that side

3. the GYTR fan shroud is better contoured to fit that side, though I did need to do some trimming to it to get it to fig snug
