NEW - Baja Designs AC Circuit for LED Lighting - Easily Run Lights on Almost Any Bike!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I just finished installing a Squadron Pro on my 2016 KTM XC 300 NOT a XCW. So after some confusion in the beginning this light is absolutely bad ass. The light is almost plug and play. You need the light regulator and for the XC a on off switch.

Thank You for your feedback and the call earlier.  We really appreciate all of the information!

IMPORTANT PRODUCT NOTICE:

Starting 12/12/2016 we will be transitioning from Silver Sport bezels to the Anodized Black Bezels available on the Pro Series of auxiliary lights.

This change will be incremental, starting with the XL Sport line and progressing throughout the entire Sport Series by the end of 2016.

Please put "Build with Black Bezels" in the comments when ordering a Sport item if you want Black Bezels.

Once we finish the transition these will ONLY be offered in Black with Laser Etching of the Product Name (Sport, Pro, Racer, etc.)

Thank You,

I have a 2015 KTM 300XC and am currently running the XC-W headlight (with EE tailight). The headlight is pretty useless.

Your stator chart only goes through 2013 on my bike. I think I have a 100w stator, but not sure. Would the follwoing work as plug and play:

https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Squadron-Sport-LED-KTM-2014-2016-wHeadlight-Shell-Kits.asp

I'm actually thinking this would  be better though because post #2 in this thread says it will fit in my factory headlight shell:

https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Squadron-Sport-AC-LED-KTM-2014-2016-Kit.asp

On the one immediately above, would the bezel be black or white (or silver) and what exactly is the bezel? Is it the very small portion that immediately surrounds the 'bulbs', is it the roundish/squarish portion surrounding the bulbs or is it the entire plastic part that would fit within my stock housing?  A pic perhaps would help.

I just want a good useable light...but if you have a product with a dimmer that will work, please advise.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting up!

Your 2015 300 XC does have the AC circuit to be able to light the Squadron Sport.  The bezel is the aluminum piece that secures our light into the factory shell.  We are making a transition and the Bezel will be Black instead of silver.  Coming VERY soon we will only be offering black.

You could use either of the kits you posted.  The main difference is one includes a KTM mask and the other will not.  We don't have any AC dimmers for the Squadron Series yet.  Many people run the Sport without one.  It is still up to rider discretion.

Thanks. Can you please post a pic of one with silver and one with black bezels and advise if any other ac headlights will work with my bike's stock stator? That was what I was referring to re: dimmer.

You can also run any of these other LED Motorcycle Lights.  The 14-16 KTM has XL options as well!

Hello BD, I have a few questions.

-Do/will you offer the XL80 with an ac circuit?

-The xl80 is the same physical size as the XL pro correct?

-Do you have any output shots of the xl80 like you do with the pros?

Thanks!

Hey!

No Problem!

- We don't offer an AC XL80 right now.  It would be a custom order to make an AC XL80 motorcycle light.  I can get some pricing put together if interested (Please email or PM)

- That is correct!  The dimensions are the same.  Only difference (besides bezel and a few minor things) is the circuit board and LEDs being used.

We sure do!  Here are pictures of both in the Driving/Combo pattern.

I have a 2015 300 XC and ordered the Squadron Sport with a black bezel, but without the shell because I have been running the shell and stock light from the XC-W. You might ask them about lens options if you decide to go this route.

You can also put on the XL lights.  See their response to me in post 69 (and posts 67 & 68 too).

I got an XL80 in the mail today so after waiting a long few hours for it to get dark I snapped a photo which I think shows the light's intense output. This is just one single light (it turned off the city street light's photocell too)

I have your DC version of the bike specific wr250/450f XL Pro. I'm using it on my 2008 yz250 with 180 watt lighting coil. I'm using your universal wiring harness and universal regulator recitifier.

The light has a 2 wire weather pack fitting going to the white and black wire. It has a third green wire for dimming feature that is taped off (seperate from the weather pack)... So I'm assuming I could use your xl mode switch that you sell for the ktm/husky models to access the dimmer setting?

Do you offer the mode switch with a bar mount? When I look at the picture of the switch on your site it looks like it uses a different type of mount.

It would be nice to put it all on one Hi/Lo switch to free up some room on the bars. My universal wiring harness just comes with a basic on/off switch though. Do you offer any type of Hi/Lo switch like that that would work with my setup (would have to be compatible with your universal harness to just replace the standard on/off switch)? I would really prefer to put it all on one switch. Please let me know what my options are.
