Is it possible to make a cr150r bigger.

Recommended Posts

I know this is a crazy question, but im just curious. Is there a way to make a crf150r fit a 5'11 person?

Lift up the gas cap and put a 250 under it. It's the most cost effective in the long run. You'll only outgrow the 150 anyway.

Even the CRF150RB (big wheeled version) is going to feel cramped for most riders taller than 5'6".

Band-Aid options if available would be:

-lower footpegs

-handlebar risers

-taller seat

but in the end, getting the proper sized bike is the prefered 'fix'.

At 5'11" that means a full-sized bike with 21" front / 18-19" rear, sized wheels.

Crf250r rear swing arm and triple clamps with forks with the 250 wheels aswell

At the OP's 5'11" (that's 180cm) that wouldn't help anything.

That would only raise the bike off the ground and do nothing for the too cramped bar/seat/pegs ergonomics.

By the time and money you'd spend modding a 150R with 21"/19" wheels, longer swingarm & forks

and sorting out (if possible) the geometry / handling issues you've created,

you'd be better off buying another properly sized bike to begin with and actualy ride it rather than try to re-engineer it.

from the title I thought he wanted to make the bike bigger? If you want to make the cockpit bigger then get some tall bar mounts and lower foot peg mounts also you can buy seat risers that go under the seat cover that you glue on dad has one on his 150 but it looks really shithaving a taller seat. I'll send a pic
