RM125 Shock Compatability

Hey all! New RM125 owner here with a quick question:

 

Is there any way I can check if rear shocks are compatible across years? I have a 99 with only rebound and compression clickers but there is a guy near me parting out an 07 that has high and low speed compression settings. Are these shocks bolt in replacements? is there anywhere I can figure this sort of thing out for the future?

Just measure the eye to eye length and the diameter of the mounting holes (top and bottom) and shock body diameter.  If that matches then your golden.  Initially I kind of think that it won't be right because the '01 RM's got a new frame.  But there is a chance so measure carefully. 

FWIW:  I personally would just rebuild and valve the original '99 shock.  Plus if the shock has a larger body diameter then you would have to buy a spring too (you need a spring to match your bikes linkage ratio).
