Stock exhaust cleaning?

Recommended Posts

Was looking for a good way to clean out the stock baffle on a Yamaha blaster there is a bunch of unburned oil in there that I don't want shooting out

The safest way is to use a non flammable degreaser and you should be done after a few hours. What I have done, but do not recommend, is scrape off all the gunk that you can with a wire brush, soak the baffle in a solvent, spray down with some carb cleaner and let air dry. Do not scrape when using solvents, as a spark could cause a fire.

Once dry, use a pick or similar tool to finish the cleaning and then reinstall.
