CRF230f vs CRF150f

So I'm 5' 11" and 135 pounds. I've been looking to upgrade to a crf230f, but my parents want me to get a crf150f instead. How much of a difference is there between these two bikes? I know that they have a similar seat height but is the power roughly the same too? Any info is appreciated, thanks ?

At 5'11" you are too big for the 150. It would be a waste of time. I also suspect that you won't weigh 135 lbs for very much longer either. 

Went thru all this with my son. Clothes, shoes, motorcycles, etc.

My understanding is that the 150/230 are the same basic frame. Differences are the wheels and suspension. At 5'11" you should be able to ride any full sized bike, so 230 or maybe even a 250 or a 350.

You should get the 230 if you can. The bigger wheels more power etc., etc. will just suit you better.

Definitely go for the 230, that's the bike I started on. It is a blast when you get used to it haha. I'm on a yz125 now

My neighbor has a 230. She seems quite happy with it. I'd go for it instead of a 150 because you'd outgrow the power and the bike itself very quick.
