VintageMoto My Ride Posted March 14, 2017 Hey guys, I bought my 1987 rm125 (1985 rm125 motor) a while ago and I want to run the vin since I only bought it with a bill of sale. First off I'd like to ask where the vin even is. There's a number on the engine and that's all I've found. That number gets me nowhere when I run it through a vin website. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
cooldudesmd Posted March 14, 2017 Vins or serial numbers will be on the neck where the steering is (on frame, behind headlight shroud). You may not have a complete vin though as its not street legal (ie not a full 17 digits).

VintageMoto My Ride Posted March 15, 2017 Thanks for the info guys! I figured out that the PO lied and I have the wrong year listed on my bill of sale.... how could I fix this? I don't have the original bill of sale either, it's just a copy.
VintageMoto My Ride Posted March 15, 2017 Also, does anyone know of a website that I can get a FREE vin check on?
