Air Filter

According to the manual pics it looks like there is some kind of locking ring(or whatever it is)around the base of the air filter?When putting on a new Uni filter yesterday I noticed there wasn't one around my old filter.Installed the new filter and after tightening the bolt seemed really secure and sealed tight all the way around.If there was some kind of OEM ring around the base do I need to get one or is it fine the way it is now?

Page 43-44,looks like some kind of ring(or not?)with 2 tabs on it?

Those tabs are what the air filters little hooks go on. Yours doesnt have them?

I have one on the inside(like your 2 in your pic)and hooked the filter to it,just thought maybe there was an OEM piece on the outside I was missing or something.As tight as my new filter sealed up around the outside I'm sure it'll be fine.

CR's didn't have tabs and they were fine so you're good to go.

To tell you the truth bro I believe I'm way overthinking things on this bike since it's new to me.I've always been anal/borderline OCD(if it's not a right angle it's a wrong angle!)wanting stuff to be right on the money(I even vacuum my damned garage at least once a week ?).
