Engine rpm info needed

I just installed a trailtech computer so I know my speed and rpm and can mess with sprockets. I have a shop manual but it doesn't say anything about rpm that I can find. What's the max rpm on the KLX 400. General running down the highway not pushing it too hard rpm? Is the shift point rpm about the same in all gears? Thanks

Stock redline/limiter is around 9,500 rpm , but the power seems to start tappering off before 8,000 rpm. I've cruised at 7,000 for periods of time but to me seems more comfortable at below 6,000.

Shift Points?  What ever feels best.

I seem to be an oddity on this forum and I change my counters haft sprocket to the type of riding I'm going to do for the day. Anywhere from 13T to 16T.
