Soldier Pass to Little Moab to Eureka... Is it possible?

Recommended Posts

I rode the soldier pass area earlier this year, and i think it's awesome. The single track there was perfect after the snow had melted, but the soil was still damp. No dust, great conditions, and best of all, closer to home for me.

Now I want to do a ride from Soldier Pass to Eureka, passing through 'Little Moab', but am not sure if there are trails/roads connecting them all. I know there's a trail that runs between 5 mile pass and Eureka, and wonder if I can just cut that trail or if there are better options. I figure I should ask here, due to the extensive knowledge you all have.

I hope this is possible and the weather holds out this weekend.

You'd have to travel part way on a dirt road to connecting trails to eureka. Or at least thats how i have done it. Many times a year we park at 5 mile and ride to eureka, grab a burger, then back. Or sometime from eureka we head to little moab and around that area. And then back to 5 mile.

Isn't the land on the south side of Five Mile private?

i guess you could skirt the west slopes of the mountains headed south though.

There are multiple ways. Cross the road heading south from the main lot and there are some trails that take you south west/west and are a lot of fun. They bypass all the farm land and take you to the west side of the mountain from the farm land. There are trails from the same start point thay keep you on the east side and close to the farm land. There are a few spots where the trail actually goes through farm land. Via gates you open and close behind you. The farmers have never said anything to us, and there aren't any posted signs saying not to. Those mountains near there are a blast as well
