Sachs shock/Racetech revalve

Recommended Posts

I have a 17 Beta 300RR.  I have recently revalved the open chamber forks with racetech gold valves for better control and to make them more plush on rough rocky, rooty, trails.  I am happy with the forks now but the shock is going to need some work as well to get it to work and feel as plush in the rocks.  The shock feels harsh and wants to kick around when charging hard in the rocks.  Shock also feels harsh and will kick off line when accelerating on rocky ground.

Anybody here had any experience with Racetech gold valves in the Sachs shock or have experience fixing the problems I have mentioned?

Would you care to share your fix?

Sachs shock piston is fine, Beta valving is goofy.   Its also a very durable unit with ZERO body wear @ 300 hrs.

This is the std stack out of a 2016 350rr. Yours will be a little different but with the same issues.  Its to soft and wallows badly and deflects on whoops you die 5.4 spring 180lbs. The crossover gap is crazy and I don't agree with the 0.15's on the face.
