2005 YZ250f

Hey guys been reading a lot but I still have a problem 

   I have a 2005 YZ250f and it keeps backfiring and won't idle I just got the carb re-jetted and it was done correct. A week ago I had the bike running great it idled and didn't backfire until I changed the gaskets on my pet cock the only think I didn't get was that the gasket kit did not come with the metal ring that was inside my pet cock originally also my hot starter is broken and won't thread in all the way. My fuel screw is turned 2 turns out and I screw around with the idle but it still won't help. Any suggestions?
