stubborn gasket?

Recommended Posts

i have to remove my gasket the one between the motor and the cylinder base before i send it off to get it bored out......is there an easy way to do this?

i was thinking of spraying it with soapy water or something to soften it up.....then take a razor blade to it?

any help would be much appreciated.....thanks

i tried doing it without soaking it and what a pain......

Don't use a metal scraper. You'll gouge your bottom end and cause a leak & that will cause a hell of a lot of problems.

I don't know about the hot soapy water but you should try a plastic scraper.
