What's everyone's recomendation for new yz250 cranks..wrench rabbit, hot rods, wiseco, OEM

It's time for a new crank just wanted to see what you guys had to say about your experiences what worked and what didn't

You may have just started what may soon become a war over what's the best crank. I've seen similar threads, lots of people on here can be very passionate about their cranks. You've been warned....... ?

Oem would be first.  Aftermarket, I've used hot rods with good results.

Personally, I prefer to have the old factory crank rebuilt with a pro-X rod. Replace the stuffers if need be.

OEM by far. The Hotrods crank itself isn't bad, it's the cheap bearings they use. I ALWAYS use the proX or OEM bearings which are high quality Japanese bearings.

in thinking while I have her torn apart I'm going to do the top end as well traditionally I've only used single ring weisco pistons I don't race moto only woods has anyone had any experience with both double and single ring pistons as far as single rings giving you noticeably more power??

When it comes time, I'll be sending my crank to Ken o'Connor Racing...Apparently the guy can dial in cranks.

Does anyone make the CNC crank stuffers anymore?

OEM, I got 10 years out of the stock crank on my 2005 YZ250 and she had some hard miles on her ! Aftermarket cranks are tempting because  of the low cost but spenfd the little extra on OEM and sleep better at night.

Send your crank to Ken Oconnor and have him rebuild the OEM it will be cheaper and you will know it will be done correctly.

I bought this 07 used and when I tore it apart it had a weisco crank in it so that's not an option unfortunately.

If you have the $$ get all OEM. 

Short on cash, for plug and play: get hotrods or wiseco, but OEM bearings/seals. 

Price of a rod, balance, work on original (if it's original OEM) is just shy of new. So why?

I have an OEM laying around if you want to do the rebuild. Send me shipping and it's yours, could even send straight to your choice to rebuild, just send ship and paperwork and I'll do that also. Your choice.

Oem ofcourse.  But i personally had goodluck with wiesco cranks in my 250s . But never went more than one season on them and I do it myself so makes difference.  If you have the cash go oem?
