MADS easy way of disabling the kickstand safety switch

Easy disable kickstand safety switch

I found an easy way of disabling the kickstand safety switch so that when in gear you still see the kickstand light on on the dashboard if the kickstand is down, but the motorcycle will start.

I use one of the following quick splicing connectors:

These splicing connectors have a plastic stop in the middle of the rear channel. Use a knife to break that stop out so that you can feed 2 wires in parallel, one in each channel. On the kickstand side of the green connector under the seat, insert the green and green-and-white wires into the connector and use pliers to push down on the metal blade. Close plastic lid. When done it should look like this:

Here is how it works:

My question is where is the kickstand down warning light?

I don't have one.

On my bike it is the orange light (S) to the right of the (N) neutral light.

You bought your bike new, I was wondering if your bike came with a tool kit, I just bought my bike new and it did not have one.

I also just bought a 2017 new.  Seems they do not come with toolkits anymore.  That is really cheap of them!

No tools.

Lame manual.

That yellow light I just assumed was some sort of warning light that would come on if something went wrong...sort of like a warning light in a car does.

Kickstand up or down it wasn't lit up though.
