cr125 head gasket leak

Recommended Posts

So I recently bought a 1999 cr125 from a guy who said the head gasket needed to be replaced. I believed him because he cut out gasket material and put it on the bike. So I ordered a gasket kit and replaced top end gaskets and thought I fixed the problem. Few days later I look at the engine and see bubbling/ liquid coming from the top of the cylinder. What could I have done wrong???

check the decking on head and jug, could be warped. as long as everything is flat and you torqued it in sequence and to proper foot pounds it should be good. might need  milling or new head. but check it first.

I checked to make sure the cylinder head wasn't warped prior to installing. And torqued the bolts correctly. Does this mean that the cylinder has to be the problem?
