New reed valve tuning question

Recommended Posts

I have a new moto tassinari v4 reed valve and hope to install it soon as possible....today or tomorrow. Should I expect to set the carb to run richer or leaner with the new reed valve? I have a Lectron on the bike that is already running rich and wanted to ask before I go messing with it.

Thanks

Typically you should not have to adjust jetting for the new reed cage. I just got my Mototassinari V4 reed valve yesterday. I cant wait to throw it on and see what it does!!!

Same here. Got the V4 waiting to get installed on a 2017 300, along with a new FMF silencer.

Just gotta find the time to do it!

Good to hear that rejetting isn't needed. I have the Lectron pretty dialed.

I guess I'll see if the silencer changes jetting...

Just installed the V4. The base of the valve is thicker than the stock V3 and made the air boot squish up against the Lectron....not bad but it didn't squish up at all with the V3. The stock V3 doesn't look bad coming off a ten year old bike. Since it's in such good shape, I may do some back-to-back testing once I get the carb dialed.
