2007 Honda CRF450R not starting after rejet

Recommended Posts

Hello

I changed my jets from a 165 to the stock 178 because I was having problems starting it when it was warm.  After I rejetted it I put on the choke and kicked it over and it started right up.  I pushed the choke in and the rpms dropped from 3000+ to about 1600 then it died a little after that.  I double checked the pilot screw and it seemed almost tight so I tightened it and backed it out 1 3/4 turns.  I messed with the idle screw a bit.  After that it would not start.  Any ideas?

Where should the idle screw be?  I tried kicking over until I couldn't do it anymore.

Make sure the flat plate on the carb slide is put in the right way. it's kinda counter intuitive if I remember correctly.

I am not sure what you mean here.  What flat plate?

This was the stock jetting.  Heat/Dry and lower elevation in Phoenix.

Anyway it was fixed....it was my stupid mistake....explained above.
