Are these copper intake seats?

Recommended Posts

I would like to know. I know the pic sucks but there is copper colored materal on the seat area. I had head rebuilt 6 years ago but I don't remember asking for that. If it is then I have to contemplate if I should not get New valves or not..

You cant see the valve seats in that pic, you would need to remove a valve.

The pic sucks but I can see with my eye they look like copper and not the light color aluminum, you can see in pic where about a 1/4 inch after valve seat contact that it is copper color. How long are Ti valves supposed to last if it is copper? I just don't remember asking for that, that's why it's throwing me off

Clean the bottom of your head and you will see a little of the seat. If you had your seats and guides replaced by Pro1 they use a copper alloy material.

If I'm wrong about that, turn the cam and open a valve. Clean a seat and you'll know.

Pretty sure I saw a pic but I'm getting old....lol
