XR250 carb on KLX300

Hi, just bought a 07 KLX 300 with 195 km , 15 or so hours use, to replace my worn out 02 XR250R

quite happy with power and torque of 300, but are thinking of trying the XR carb (30 mm kehien)

to help with low end throttle response. I read the TM33/34 mm carb was the way to go, may eventually go this way.

Any thoughts ?

Jetting for that carb will be up to you.  I haven't heard of anyone else using that carb.  Why not change either or both of the sprockets?  Smaller engine sprocket or larger rear sprocket?

I have already swapped the front 14 t for a 13 t sprocket.
