Should I buy this pitbike or keep looking for another one?

Alright so here's the deal, I've been looking for a pitbike to cruise around the neighborhood and to pop the occasional wheelies. I'm on a budget too. There's a 2015 ssr 125 for sale, looks brand new for $320 that's a deal! But here's the problem he says in the description that it stopped running a day or two ago and it might need an ignition coil or a new spark plug. I've seen videos on YouTube and other forums that if they don't start up it might just be simple fixes but I don't want to buy a pitbike that doesn't run and that won't run even if I fix the parts it needs. Any suggestions? (Yes i know it's Chinese but it's all I could get right now)

I'd try to low ball a bit to get it under $300. Even then, if its like new aside from not running thats not a terrible price.

If its really no spark check the kill switch and wires. Then try a new plug unless its already a new looking NGK. There is no part of the ignition system on a Chinese pit bike that would put you under water in this deal.

If you do not know much about working on a dirt bike, your headed for so heart aches.  These bikes require attention, a lot of attention.  The starting problem is not that big a deal. Soft steel will be. Same goes for the carburetors. If you have a bigger budget, go Japanese.

Get good set of tools. Replace all the oils. I bleed my brakes brand new and fluid came out black.

There also is no service manual, anywhere but dealer that sells them.

I do like the power and handling

Thanks slip, I know little about dirt bikes but not enough to sort out everything by myself. I will try tho, has your bike given you problems?

This is a link to a PDF from a stickied thread on planetminis. It has most of what you need to know to properly pdi and set up a new Chinese pit bike. It also applies to caring for and maintaining pits. 

Pits are highly misunderstood. A pit bike isn't a substitute for a real dirt bike, but they have huge bang for the buck fun potential. They aren't for everyone, you need to be mechanically savy, but you don't need to be a professional wrench. Humm, not that much different than any dirt bike? 

Every generation of pits coming out of China is narrowing the gap between the Japanese bikes. BTW, all the Japanese are using major components made in the same factories that building the Chinese pits.

All dirt bikes require constant care. 

My bike, bent a rim, had faulty front brakes, and did not handle well in the sand. Rotate the bars towards the rider, passed rear mounting bolts, 1/4 inch fixes this.
