KX450 DFI DIAGNOSTIC LIGHT ON

I have a 2013 kx450 and the diagnostic light is on.... when i ran the diagnostic it gave me a code which corresponded to an intake air temperature sensor so i bought a new sensor and replaced it. Light still on. I checked the continuity of the power and ground wires to the ECU from the IAT sensor and it was good, also checked from the water temp sensor. Did not check the downed sensor because i cannot find it ( not very mechanically proficient ) ... any idea what the problem may be?
