VM26 on a TTR 125?

Recommended Posts

Tried to put a VM26-606 on my TTR which wasn't as easy as I thought. The idle is on the left, and the air screw also on the left is impossible to access. Oddly I also have a VM24 and the slide and cap are the same, but the idle screw is on the right and the air jet is accessible (it's also on the left but lower and straight on).

I also had jetting issues with the 26 until I realized the needle jets were completely different. By that time I had given up and worked on the 24. I tell you it goes like crazy with the 24 and BBR 150 kit. For those with the 26 how did you deal with the air screw access? And what jetting did you end up with? For the 24 I have a 195 main, 22.5 pilot with the stock needle on the 4th grove from the top.

The VM series appears to have right and left models, and that may explain your situation....they also mount with a flange or tube into a hose...   I have the same problem, and I twisted the carb body, adjusted the screw and then turned it back vertical....
