Just picked up a kx 80...any one have an idea of the year??? VIN is unreadable on the frame but I have the engine number. Thank you everyone in advance!

If you can read the 10th letter in the VIN and tell us, we can tell you the frame year. I think the engine in a 1984.

I got the Clymer today and according to this chart, the bike is 88.

yea that looks right.  Great bike, I had a 89 and my brother had an 88 growing up. very reliable fun bike!

I use the Kawasaki dealer manual, Model Identification Guide. The frame is 1988. The engine number is 1988.

kx08ee01235
