Keihin FCR 39-40-41 in 2016 DRZ400S

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I just bought a Keihin FCR (I don't know if it is a 39,40 or 41mm) taken from a 2004 YZ450F motocross. I would like to know exactly whatI have to buy to make this fit on my drz, and how to know if it is a 39,40 or 41mm. Also, I would like to know which jet I should buy according to this : 500ft over sea level, 3x3 mod, MRD exhaust, KN air filter. Here are some picture of the carb.

Thank you for your help !!

I believe the 04 had a 39mm.

I'm not sure it will fit without blocking off the top facing hot start.

You might get away with using an E model airboot, or you'll need to find an adapter to fit it in the stock SM boot.

I may be completely mistaken and it's hard to tell from pics but if the throttle cable mount plate is cast as part of the body I thought folks here previously stated there are some fitments issues with those versions of the FCR.

They fit tight but I had a YFZ carb(atv) on mine for a year . Same carb mostly. I couldn't put the side cover back on but I can't with my new fcr41 either , that oil separator box sit right against the carb .
