Plug choice BR7ES vs BR8EG

No, only difference is the electrode type. Unsure if it will have an effect on the performance but it'll run

different heat range   an 8 is colder than a 7!  If you ride tight single track i'd stick with the 7,more open terrain you could probably get by with the 8

if I remember correctly ktm spec'd the br8 series up to 08 on the 250-300 then switched to the 7

There are 3 main plug types for your bike: ES (cheapest), EG (standard), and EIX (iridium). Give the BR7EIX a shot. They provide the strongest spark (arguably) and have been the most resistant to fouling in my experience. Plus at $8 a pop, they're not necessarily that much more expensive.

Use  a 7 for woods / enduro stuff.

8 for higher speed stuff .

Can't go wrong with that. The 7 will help against fouling when running low speeds.

This is why ktm/ husky fit the 7 for the endure bikes and 8 in the motox models
