My beloved 1992 WR250 is going to that great scrap heap in the sky. The motor seized on me this weekend and after a quick teardown, I don't think there's any saving her. This bike had an FMF silencer and a larger rear sprocket (4 teeth I think?) otherwise it was stock.

So, what do I replace it with?

I love my two-strokes, but kind of hate mixing fuel. I'm not a racer by any stretch. I really liked the power and ride of the WR250.

I mostly ride single track through big timber or heavy brush.

I'm 6'3" and 265 pounds (by next year that should read 6'3" 200 pounds).

I am not brand loyal-- we ride Arctic Cat sleds, have a Polaris ATV, the boy has a Honda CRF100F, the girl has a Suzuki LT50, the wife rides a Ninja and I've got both a GSXR and a Kawasaki Vulcan.

I've got a pretty tight $2500 budget.
