Suspension suggestions

Recommended Posts

I just bought a new-to-me CRF450x which had suspension work done at FC.  They had everything redone for 275# woods rider.  I'm about 250 with gear on.  I'm planning on trail riding this weekend, could anyone suggest what I should set all my clickers at?  It'd be much appreciated!

start by setting sag 105-108mm   shock 3 out HS low 12 rebound 11-12    fork comp 12 rebound 12      this should be a good starting point

105 to 108mm sag is an awful lot...gonna make the front end push and wash out.

Factory Connection recommended 105 to 108 on my 09450x and my 07 250x after they went through my suspension

To get an idea what you are working with, first try setting the race sag to 100mm, then measure the free sag.

If the free sag is more than 40mm, the spring rate for the previous 275lbs rider is a tad stiff for you at 250lbs.
