Carb questions

Recommended Posts

Sons 14 KX 85.  Carb seems to be seeping, or looks wet around the air screw.  Not so much that it drips, but certainly collects dirt, and looks damp.  Bike has been running a little rich lately, jetting seems to be on, or at least in reccomended safe zone.

Bad oring on the air screw?  Any other ideas?  Don't want to mess with jetting until carb is tight.  We bought the bike new, haven't had this issue until this year.  Had a Lectron on it and he (my son) didn't like it.  We are getting the stock carb re-dialed.

Thanks.

airscrew looks like the likely culprit, could just be some dirt built up in there so it isn't seating properly.   i bought a moose carb rebuild kit for my leaky 250 carb and it's worked great.  Mine was leaking around the bowl gasket.

Why does it look like a vent is missing a hose and is plugged?

That's how they come.  Presumably different venting needs for the smaller carb.
