XT 225 mystery part!

When I was younger and had a car that I changed the motor a couple times on , each time I had a few "spare" bolts , thing always ran and each time the swap got faster so I always figured they weren't needed . :smirk:

 

Man the good 'ol days when an issue with a motor was an hour or 2 to pull it and a couple hundred dollars to rebuild it(well new rod & crank bearings, cam -n-lifters and gaskets), maybe , then another hour or 2 it was in and done .
