fuel valve in PRI only position

I have a 93 DR250 it will only run with the fuel valve in the PRI (prime?) position. Any thoughts?

The Prime (PRI) fuel valve position bypasses the need to have engine vacuum open the fuel valve. Seems like your vacuum line from the engine to the fuel tap is either leaking, broken off, or disconnected. You could use a hand held vacuum pump to test the fuel valve.

So theis is not a vacume fuel pump the engine vacum is just opening the fuel valve? So you know what that bick brick typ divice with the hoses on it is under the left side of the fuel tank is?
