I learned which side to lean the bike over when it is low on fuel . . .

Recommended Posts

. . . I had first leaned the bike to the left/gearshift side, I could not get the bike to even start after that.

When I had leaned it over to the throttle side, she fired and I got myself to the gas station.  I wanted to see how far I could go and sort of surprisingly, the low fuel light never came on or even flashed.  The only symptoms I got were a few stalls, backfiring, and no power.

When I filled the tank up it took 1.999 gallons.  I won't let it get that low again.  I forgot to even check it the past few weeks as my commute is 11 miles roundtrip.

Lesson is, lean bike to the right when fuel is low.

I'LL REMEMBER THIS, I'M NOTORIOUS FOR RUNNING OUT OF GAS.  I COULD HAVE A 1000 BUCKS IN MY POCKET AND STILL RUN OUT OF GAS JUST BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO STOP. :ride:
