2009 CRF 450R - MAP sensor vacuum hose problem

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Long story short, yesterday I was adjusting valves and had the whole TB/ MAP sensor etc off to do so. Upon putting the MAP sensor back on, the nipple to the vacuum hose that goes from the MAP sensor to the TB broke off. It's very small so I'm not sure what to do? It looks like I may have to get a whole new TB? Any ideas?

I did the same thing. You can order the map sensor from Rocky Mountain. Stupid little thing is like $120. But it's better then buying a throttle body. Just look up oem parts for your ride. Hope this helps

Do you think this would keep my bike from starting? When I put everything back together aside from this (MAP sensor plugged in just not the hose) It was back firing when I would kick it over. I was reading something that said this could be a timing and or/ valve clearance issue, BUT the valves are now in spec and all the timing marks are lining up perfect.
